Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of DuesBook, membership management software provided by DuesBook ("we," "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using DuesBook, you agree to them.

What DuesBook Is

DuesBook is a tool for clubs, PTAs, chapters, and similar organizations to manage members, dues, events, and communication. Members interact with your organization through emailed links and never need a DuesBook account.

Accounts

Admin accounts are authenticated via magic link or Google sign-in — we never see or store a password. You're responsible for keeping access to your email or Google account secure, and for the activity that happens under your admin account.

Your Organization's Responsibilities

You are responsible for the member data you store in DuesBook — including having a lawful basis to collect and hold it, keeping it reasonably accurate, and honoring any privacy commitments you've made to your own members. DuesBook acts as a data processor on your behalf for that member data; your organization remains the controller.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DuesBook to:

• Send spam, or email people who haven't opted in to hear from your organization
• Store data you don't have the right to hold
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service
• Use the service for anything illegal, or that harasses or endangers others

Plans & Billing

DuesBook offers a Free tier and paid Standard/Pro subscriptions, priced flat — never per member. New organizations get a 30-day trial of every Pro feature; no upgrade prompts during that trial. You can cancel a paid plan at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your organization keeps read-only access plus full data export afterward. We don't offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

Payments Collected From Your Members

When your organization accepts online dues payments, they flow directly through your own connected Stripe account — DuesBook is not a party to that transaction, does not hold your members' funds, and takes no fee on it at this time. Your organization is responsible for its own Stripe account, applicable taxes, and any refunds owed to your members.

Your Data, Always Yours

Every data table in DuesBook can be exported as CSV, on every plan, including a cancelled account. We will never place your own data behind a paywall or make it deliberately difficult to leave.

Termination

You may stop using DuesBook at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, misuses the service, or poses a security risk — we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you first except where immediate action is necessary.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

DuesBook is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DuesBook's operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as DuesBook evolves. We'll post the new "last updated" date above, and, for material changes, notify active admins by email.
